
【The 16th SoftTennis German Open】Be active with SoftTennis !
The 16th SoftTennis German Open were held on 9th and 10th August 2025 at the Frankfurter Tennisclub

SoftTennis Deutschland (Germany) e.V. promotes a healthy sports activity. Whoever opts for a live in motion is on the right track. SoftTennis keeps body and mind active. A sports activity with like-minded people is good for the soul as it brings important social contacts. Sport and motion are generally holistically healthy and can even have positive effects on the recovery after an illness.
The 16th SoftTennis German Open were held on 9th and 10th August 2025 at the Frankfurter Tennisclub 1914 Palmengarten e. V., following the official rules oft he International Soft Tennis Federation (ISTF).
The players competed in four different categories – ladies and men singles and doubles, ladies and men 40+ singles and doubles – for the treasured winner‘s cups.
The Japanese SoftTennis Association (JSTA) kindly sent two Japanese SoftTennis players by plane to Frankfurt, a very much appreciated supportive gesture from the JSTA. Another Japanese player currently living in Cairo also flew over last minute to join the German Open.
Amidst beautiful summer weather, spirits were high and all participants were in a very good mood. The Japanese players easily won the men’s singles and doubles competition. It was once again impressive to see a demonstration of this fascinating sport by professional players. The German players who came from Frankfurt, Hamburg, Düsseldorf/Korschenbroich and Heidenheim took a lot from watching and being in contact with the professional players
In the ladies‘ competition, Mona Bodem (1st place in singles and doubles) , Christina Diehl (1st place doubles) and Birgit Latka (1st place ladies doubles 40+) showed outstanding performances. All three also played in the German Team at the SoftTennis World Championships in South Korea in September 2024.
