Hello, first of all, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. 

 

During 2025, the Basque Association of Beach Tennis and Minority Sports has organized two major tournaments: First of all in april the IV. Basque Soft Tennis Championship (doubles) and in july IV. Basque Soft Tennis Championship (doubles). Then the 13th of december the IV.San Inazio Tournament (doubles). 

 

New players have come and everyone has liked soft tennis, although in the beginning for the most of them the ball and the bounce is a bit strange for them. They believe that it is a different sport than tennis in that the ball moves more slowly and even people not used to playing can do it well. It has been a fruitful year and we hope to be able to encourage more people in 2025, here at Basque Country and of course, grow. We said the last year but really we will try to go to Poland in July this year and represent Basque Country.

 

11/04/2025　San Ignacio (Bilbao), Basque Country

The 11th of april the Basque Association of Beach Tennis and Minority Sports organzied the IV. Basque Country Soft Tennis Championship in doubles. We met three couples and we played all against all. We gathered in the sport center of San Ignacio (Bilbao). The doubles pair of Galder Etxebarria and Egoitz Campo won both matches, winning this Basque championship. We played until one of the pair reached  4 games.. Here are the results:

30/07/2025 San Ignacio (Bilbao), Basque Country

The 30th of july the Basque Association of Beach Tennis and Minority Sports organzied the IV. Basque Country Soft Tennis Championship in individual modality. We gathered  6 players and we made two groups of 3 to play every three players all agaisnt all. The best of each group played the final; the second of each group the match for the 3º and 4º position and the last one of each group the match for the 5º and 6 position. As always we met in the sport center of San Ignacio (Bilbao). Egoitz Campo was the winner of the Championship after winning Jon Proaño in the final. Joseba Fernandez finished the championship in the 3rd position.

We are members of the International Soft Tennis Federation since 2021 as the Basque Country.
